2016 Swiss Charity Award Winner
We are happy to announce this year’s Swiss Charity Award 2016 winner, Mira Marie Foron.
Mira Marie Foron, born on 24 June 2002 in Stuttgart, started to play the violin at the early age of five. Half a year later she passed the entrance exam of the Music University of Hannover and became a young student of Professor Ina Kertscher. Mira won her first major music awards at the famous German youth music competition “Jugend musiziert”. With her young age of 14, she already performed in different concert halls across Europe. Her current teacher is Prof. Koh Gabriel Kameda, one of the most accomplished violinists of his generation. On 8 September, Mira will perform Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in e minor at Zurich’s Tonhalle.
